Woodworking classes

This is a warm, natural-textured, and peaceful activity that invites you to experience one of the oldest Lithuanian crafts – woodcarving. It is not only a technique, but also a quiet, slow conversation with wood – strong, warm, fragrant, and different every time.

These educational events are an opportunity to stop for a moment and feel how an object with a history is born from a simple piece of wood. Each carving is like a story about the past, about the human connection with nature and everyday life, when handmade spoons, toys or tools not only performed a practical function, but also preserved customs, symbols and traditions. The activity takes place in a folk artist's workshop - a real space for wood creativity, where participants see the master's work up close, touch old wooden products, tools and toys. Here you can hear the rustling of chips, the smell of fresh wood, and in the hands of the master a simple stick turns into a sculpture or an ornamented spoon.

During the education, participants will learn about wood types, carving tools, and decoration principles. In the practical part, each participant will create with their own hands - carve a spoon or other small wooden object, decorate it with a unique pattern, which they will be able to take home as a souvenir or gift.
